The global lock is a security feature that allows you to stop basic functions of your account.
Enabling the global lock in your account will stop you from:
- Withdrawing any currency
- Creating an order
- Resetting your password
- Resetting or disabling 2FA
- Creating or delete an API token
- Updating any security settings
How to enable or disable global lock?
To enable global lock, you need to create a Master password on your Settings page.
The Master password you choose must be different from the account password you use to sign in to your account. The Master password controls and limits the functionality of the account.
When you create a Master password for the first time, the global settings lock will be activated automatically. You can choose to unlock your account right away reentering the Master password.
Please make sure you remember your Master password and you keep it safe.
What do I do if I have activated global settings lock and forgot my master password?
If you forget your Master password you need to contact support and you will be asked to prove your identity as legitimate the owner of the account.
